In 2024, my body-positivity project (weekly photography of my body with journaling about the positive aspects) changed how I viewed my own body. Dramatically.

I ask a bigger question, now, of Little Rock: can weekly photography of this town, coupled with journaling about the positive aspects in the images, change how I feel about Little Rock? Can it change how others see Little Rock?

Every week, I curate photos I have taken of Little Rock and share them on Reddit with a journal entry.

Every Quarter, I publish a zine and distribute it to free little libraries and zine boxes around town.

I remember the day I looked at my naked body in the mirror and saw my father: the man who beat my body as a child.

I knew that was a distorted view of myself, so I began taking weekly selfies of my body and body parts, big and small, and wrote positively about them in a journal.

I posted the images and blogs on Instagram and continue to do so as I imagine the next steps for this project.

I believe that trans people can level up by using this approach, and so I’m writing a book. Once there is a pre-order option available, I will post it here. Prolly like 2034 or 2035.
